What a fast and furious semester! We have had an amazing beginning to the new school year. Students have participated in Homecoming activities, Red Ribbon Week and hosted two campus pep rallies. Girls’ athletics had a very fruitful volleyball season ending in the 7th grade team winning the district tournament and basketball is off to a great start. As always, we were grateful for all of the parents and community members that attended our Honor’s Breakfast and Pride Rallies. I believe that we may have set a record for most people in attendance. It was standing room only for breakfast. We appreciate the Student Council students for hosting the event. We will have our second breakfast when we return from Christmas break.
Our students continue to focus on progress in the classroom. We believe that every accomplishment is a milestone that should be celebrated! Students are provided the opportunity to attend enrichment every Tuesday and Thursday (buses run following) in the afternoons and Good to Great classes each day. Please reach out to your student’s teachers if there are ever any concerns or questions.
Students have been preparing for the upcoming UIL events in December, as well as, the all region band competition. In addition, classes have attended trips including Navarro County Food & Fiber, AT&T Stadium, the Planetarium, and The Dallas Museum of Art. Please check the calendar for all of our upcoming events.
Thank you again for sharing your students with us everyday. It is an honor to serve such an amazing group of young people and an incredibly supportive community. Please feel free to contact my office anytime.
Thank you and let’s keep CHANGING THE GAME together!
