Registration

For students enrolling in our district for the first time, please be prepared to bring in the following required documents to our office staff to begin registration:
Birth Certificate -Certified copy with seal
Social Security Card
Immunization Records
2 Proofs of Residency- Original most recent Electric, Gas, or Water bill showing you live within the Rice ISD school district
Parent Identification of Enrolling Parent -Drivers license or State ID
Proof of Income- Paycheck stub, income tax, or proof of public assistance (Pre-K only)
Once this phase of registration is complete the second phase will take place online in our parent portal. Registration must be completed online prior to meeting with a counselor to get your child's schedule.
To complete the registration online, click the Quicklinks dropdown menu below, click on Parent Portal. Create a Parent Portal Account by clicking the create account tab.If you already have an account login, go to the top right corner and click on the people icon then click My account and enroll a new student. Follow the steps to complete registration. All required documents will also need to be uploaded when requested during the registration process.
For all returning students to the district, please login to the parent portal to complete registration and upload updated documents. It's important to make sure that all of the information is correct in the portal so that we have the correct information in our registration system.
