Athletic Parent Meeting information
The Rice Varsity Cheerleaders had an incredible week at UCA Cheer Camp at Texas A&M University! Throughout the week, they learned new game day skills and routines, grew stronger as a team, and pushed through challenges with determination and resilience. Despite long days, the girls remained spirited and represented Rice ISD with positivity and grace earning nightly spirit sticks and blue ribboned in all preliminary evaluations!
Their hard work paid off during Thursday’s Final Day Competition, where they earned:
💙 4th Place – Camp Dance Routine
🤍 3rd Place – Game Day Sideline Routine
🏆 Overall Most Improved Team
💙 Amy Aviles was honored with the Pin it Forward award for their leadership, sportsmanship, kindness, commitment, and motivation both on and off the mat.
⭐️We are also thrilled to celebrate five new All-American Cheerleaders: Kimberly Castillo, Ashley Hernandez, Lyla Babers, Lakshmi Eduardo, and Erika Emmett!
🐾🐾 A very special congratulations goes to Gracee Oliver, who represented Roxy the Bulldog with incredible spirit, earning both the Mascot Positivity Award, the title of All-American Mascot, and was also the Mascot Pin it Forward award recipient!
We couldn’t be prouder of this hardworking group. We can’t wait to see them bring the energy, excitement, and new skills they learned at camp to the sidelines under those Bulldog Friday Night Lights! 💙🐾

Reflecting on the last week of school, Rice IMS had an absolute blast celebrating the incredible accomplishments of our students. We wrapped up the year on such a high note:

Our 8th graders celebrated the end of their middle school journey with an unforgettable, fun-filled day at Six Flags!
Showing up matters, and it definitely paid off! We loved showering our students with fantastic gifts and prizes to celebrate their excellent attendance.

Our students recently participated in Battle of the Books where they competed by using their knowledge to answer trivia questions based on the books they have read throughout the year! 📖💡
Our students did an amazing job showcasing their hard work, reading comprehension, and teamwork — and most importantly, they had a lot of fun doing it! 👏🎉
A huge THANK YOU to Mrs. Braly and Mrs. Baldwin for organizing and putting on this wonderful event each year. We appreciate all the time and effort you put into creating such a great experience for our students! 💙🐾

Athletic Booster Club meeting information
Our 7th grade students had a blast on their field trip today! 🎣🐟 They traveled to Athens to visit the Freshwater Fisheries Center, where they learned about fishing, wildlife, conservation, and the great outdoors. It was an awesome hands-on experience for our students, and they represented Rice IMS very well throughout the trip. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day possible for our students! 💙🐾
