Convocation for all Rice ISD staff was a huge success! We are excited for the 2024-2025 school year and can't wait to see our students on Tuesday! #simplythebest 💙

Rice ISD would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Verabank for their generous sponsorship of our annual teacher shopping trip. Teachers were able to buy school supplies for their classrooms and had so much fun! We are incredibly grateful for Verabank's commitment to support our district. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of our teachers and students! #simplythebest 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

Our secondary school principals attended the TASSP Summer Workshop this week where they participated in research-based professional learning that developed their capacity to create innovative solutions to the ever-changing educational needs of students.

Starting next week our Rice Athletics summer strength and conditioning format will change. We will have 2 sessions available: 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. The morning session will be primarily girls, or guys that have evening conflicts, and the evening session will be primarily boys, or girls who have morning conflicts. We are hopeful this will help many of our student-athletes who are having a difficult time making the workouts. We have not had a very large amount of middle school student-athletes attending the sessions either. Middle school student-athletes are certainly welcome to be a part of the training sessions as well. See you all next week!

That’s a wrap for track and volleyball at Rice Bulldog Summer Sports Camps. Here are some photos from today. Next up, Youth Football Camp at the end of July. We have enjoyed getting to spend the last couple of weeks with some of these amazing kids!

Rain should be out of here by the time Rice Bulldog Youth Sports Camps start this morning. See you all at 9:00 AM! It’s a great day to be a Bulldog, even if you need a boat! 🚤 Strength and Conditioning workouts will also go on as scheduled.

Drop off for Rice Bulldog Summer Sports Camps will be at same location each morning, by south doors to high school. We need to be able to get a head count for lunch each day. We are having to be a little creative with the schedule because of the rain, so we appreciate the willingness to adjust. See all of you in the morning!

No Cost Summer Meals! See details below about where and when you can get these summer meals.

Rice Bulldog Summer Sports Camps kickoff next Monday, June 3rd, with Baseball/Softball in the morning, and Basketball in the afternoon. These camps are for 3rd - 9th grade. Summer Strength and Conditioning Camp also begins next Monday. See the attachments for additional information. It’s a great day to be a Bulldog, and we start Building Bulldogs next week, so come join the fun!!!!
